“The Daisy Dukes” is the culmination of decades of experience, talent and friendship between 2 young ladies who just love to play music. Rachel Bostock and Jesse Emmanuel originally came together in 2011 to play some local gigs to earn a bit of extra cash whilst working on their other musical projects. Rachel was an accomplished violinist and singer in her family band, The Bostocks and Jesse was an established solo artist. It quickly became evident that the girls had inadvertently struck gold and found their respective yin to the other’s yang.

In the years since The Daisy Dukes’ formation, the girls have mastered their niche – solid rhythm guitar, 2 part harmonies, a unique repertoire and of course the jaw-dropping violin which Rachel takes from sweet and romantic to the kind of exhilarating shredding normally reserved for the electric guitarist in a rock band. The Dukes have played some huge events including the Gympie Music Muster, Stage In The Sticks and Brisbane Town & Country Festival, opened for Jimmy Barnes & Troy Cassar-Daley and become staples at the local clubs, bars & casinos. In 2020, Rachel & Jesse branched out with an original project with Rachel’s brother Robbie Bostock, forming Hinterland. As Hinterland, the girls scored a handful of #1 singles and amassed over 2 million streams (to date) and played Groundwater, Bush To Bay, Savannah In The Round, BIGSOUND, South Coast Country & Tamworth Country Music Festivals. They were nominated for 2 Gold Coast Music Awards & runner up for Country Song at the Queensland Music Awards. Despite becoming big names in the national music scene, there’s nothing Rachel and Jesse love more than jamming together for an appreciative crowd at the local surf club.

The Daisy Dukes are also available as a trio or full band collaborating with some of SEQs finest musicians. They are in hot demand for their entertaining show featuring their own special twist on Top 40 songs, country & Irish classics and even electronic dance hits.
